Joyful glassware - the story behind

The joyful glassware project started with me cutting paper while imagining how to decorate our home with more colorful objects.

I placed paper models everywhere in our home, and I was pleased to see that they are joyful, even though they are not functional since they are just paper models.

I liked exploring this idea while working with glass. First because of the material's great properties and secondly because it was challenging to manufacture a new collection during the COVID-19 Pandemic while being stuck at home. The collection was manufactured by craftsmen from Istanbul, Turkey. Because we couldn't travel and be in the same place to work together, we mostly had to communicate through WhatsApp while sending pictures, sketches, and drawings.

Here are a few pictures of the process of my work.
